Turn Over a New Leaf

I am an English girl who will spend all day in a book shop or library. I always have a book in my handbag, next to my bed, everywhere I go. In fact, I believe my iPhone has found many good friends in my books. They are always together. If you follow me, you will discover my reading habits and hopefully I will discover like minded people to share my love with.

Another book on the 100 greatest novels list.

Rainy days are great for wrapping presents and reading a good book next to the Christmas Tree.

To be able to talk to your heart’s content about a book you like with someone who feels the same way about it is one of the greatest joys that life can offer.

Nothing like a homemade brownie, a coffee and a book.

Today I’m making Peanut Butter Chocolate Brownies-and then plan to eat one with a cup of coffee and book. Photo later!

Literature duplicates the experience of living in a way that nothing else can, drawing you so fully into another life that you temporarily forget you have one of your own. That is why you read it, and might even sit up in bed till early dawn, throwing your whole tomorrow out of whack, simply to find out what happens to some people who, you know perfectly well, are made up.
